Frequently asked questions
Is the time zone converter and meeting planner free?
Yes, it’s free with no sign-up. You can add as many cities or time zones as you need, switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time, and share the result as a link or copied text as often as you like.
Does the meeting planner send my schedule anywhere?
No. Time zone math uses your browser’s built-in time zone database, and nothing you enter is sent to our server. The share link stores the time and zones after the # in the URL, a part browsers don’t send to web servers, so only people you give the link to see it.
How do I find a meeting time that works across time zones?
Add each participant’s city. The planner highlights the hours that fall inside everyone’s 9 am–5 pm working day. If none overlap, it tells you and you can choose an amber hour, early morning or evening, for the people furthest away.
What time is 9 am EST in PST, London or India?
Set the Meeting time to 9:00 with a US Eastern city such as New York as the base zone, then add PST, London and Mumbai. Each row shows the local time and date. The difference changes with daylight saving time, so the tool calculates it for the exact date.
Does the time zone converter handle daylight saving time?
Yes. Offsets are calculated for the exact date you pick, and each zone shows a DST badge when daylight saving is active. This matters in March, October and November, when the US and Europe switch clocks on different dates and the usual gaps shift by an hour.
Which cities and time zone abbreviations can I add?
You can type about 150 city names such as New York, SF, Mumbai, Hanoi or Sydney, common abbreviations such as EST, PST, IST, CET and JST, or any IANA zone like America/Chicago. The dropdown suggests matches as you type.
