- 1. Drop one or more photos, then choose Text, Logo or Both. Type your text and pick a font and color, or upload a logo (transparent PNG works best).
- 2. Click a spot on the 9-position grid, or tick Repeat across the whole image (tile) to cover the photo and set the Tile spacing.
- 3. Adjust Size, Opacity, Rotate and Margin, and keep Soft shadow on so text stays readable on bright or busy photos.
- 4. Click Watermark & download. One photo downloads directly; several are processed at full resolution and bundled into a ZIP. Use + Add images to add more.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free to add a watermark to photos here?
Yes, it’s free, with no sign-up and no GrabCast branding added to your images. You can watermark a batch of photos in one go; there’s no fixed limit, but very large batches depend on your device’s memory because the processing happens in your browser.
Are my photos uploaded when I add a watermark?
No. The watermark is drawn onto each photo with your browser’s canvas and saved straight to your device, so originals and results never reach GrabCast’s servers. The only downloads are the JSZip library for multi-photo ZIPs and the signature font, if you choose it.
How do I add a logo watermark to a picture?
Choose Logo, or Both for a logo plus text, and pick your logo file; a PNG with a transparent background looks cleanest. Then set the position, size and opacity. The default opacity of 55% keeps a mark visible without hiding the photo.
How do I tile a watermark across an entire photo?
Tick Repeat across the whole image (tile). Your text or logo repeats in staggered rows over the whole picture; use Rotate (up to ±60°) for a diagonal pattern and Tile spacing to space the copies. A tiled watermark is much harder to crop out than a single corner mark.
Can I watermark multiple images at once?
Yes. Drop several photos, or click + Add images later. The preview shows the first photo, and the same watermark settings are applied to every image at its own full resolution. With more than one image, the results download as a single ZIP file.
Does adding a watermark reduce image quality or change the format?
Images are exported at their original pixel size. PNG and WebP files stay PNG and WebP; JPG and other formats are saved as JPG at 92% quality, which looks very close to the original. Camera metadata such as EXIF isn’t copied into the watermarked file.
