Does the lorem ipsum generator send anything to a server?
No. The placeholder text is generated in your browser from built-in word lists, and copy and download happen locally too. Nothing you choose or generate is uploaded.
How do I generate lorem ipsum with an exact number of characters?
Choose characters as the unit and enter the number, for example 160 to mock up a meta description or 280 for a social post. The output is trimmed to exactly that length, and the counter under the text confirms it.
How do I get lorem ipsum as HTML paragraphs or a list?
Set Output to HTML to wrap each block in paragraph tags, or pick list items as the unit to get a bulleted HTML list. With paragraphs, tick Add headings to insert H2 titles. The Code tab shows the raw markup, ready to paste into your page.
