How to use Rotate & Flip Image

  1. 1. Drop up to 50 JPG, PNG or WebP images. The first one opens in the editor; when you add several, click a thumbnail to switch between them.
  2. 2. Use ↺ 90°, ↻ 90°, Flip H or Flip V, or straighten by any angle from −45° to +45° with the slider, number box or Auto-straighten.
  3. 3. Under Edges, choose Crop to fill for no empty corners, or Keep whole image on a white, black or transparent background; the grid helps line up horizons.
  4. 4. Pick Save as (same as original, JPG, PNG or WebP) and a quality level, then click Download — or Apply to all (ZIP) for the whole batch.

Frequently asked questions

Is the image rotate tool free, and how many images can I rotate at once?

Yes, it’s free with no watermark or sign-up. You can load up to 50 images at a time, apply the same rotation, flip and straightening to all of them, and download the whole batch as a single ZIP file.

Are my photos uploaded when I rotate or straighten them?

No. Rotation, straightening, auto-straighten and export all run in your browser on a canvas, so the images stay on your device. The only thing fetched from the web is the free JSZip library, when you choose Apply to all (ZIP).

How do I straighten a crooked photo or scanned document?

Click Auto-straighten to detect the tilt from edge lines in scans, receipts and horizons, or drag the Straighten slider in 0.1° steps while watching the grid. Arrow keys nudge the angle; hold Shift for bigger steps. Crop to fill trims the empty corners, while Keep whole image adds a background instead.

How do I flip an image to make a mirror image?

Click Flip H to mirror the picture left to right — handy for selfies with reversed text — or Flip V to turn it upside down. Flips combine with 90° rotations and straightening, and the preview updates instantly before you download.

Why does my straightened photo look smaller or cropped?

When you straighten by an angle, the corners of the tilted image would be empty. Crop to fill cuts to the largest rectangle with no empty corners, so the picture shrinks slightly. Choose Keep whole image to keep every pixel on a white, black or transparent background; the output size in pixels is shown.

Does rotating an image reduce its quality?

Rotating by 90° or flipping moves pixels without resizing, but saving as JPG or WebP re-compresses the image; the Quality slider (60–100, default 92) controls that. Save as PNG for lossless output. Files keep their original format unless you choose another under Save as.
